Meet Brian Lorenz

Brian Lorenz is serving his first term in the Ohio House. He represents the 60th District, serving western Delaware County. Born and raised in Ohio, Brian is a proud father, husband, and a dedicated public servant.

He attended the University of Toledo for his undergraduate education and earned a master’s degree at The Ohio State University. He married his college sweetheart, Sue, and started a family. They quickly became parents to their son, Henry, and just two short years later, they welcomed triplet girls: Annaliese, Elisabeth, and Charlotte.

He raised his four children in Delaware County. Brian represented the City of Powell as a member of the Powell Community Improvement Corporation and previously served on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Brian was first elected to Powell City Council in 2010. He joined the Olentangy School District Facilities Committee in 2015 and worked to improve public education in central Ohio until 2016, when he became Mayor of Powell.

After his tenure as mayor, he returned to the City Council and continued to serve his community. Representative Lorenz is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Delaware, where he is an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He is also a proud member of the Ohio Farm Bureau.
